SOLIS APARTMENTS
HHC Engineers proudly took on the Solis project, partnering with Astina to deliver their most ambitious development yet, comprising 112 units spread across three seven-storey buildings, complete with rooftop pools and two basements.
Our team expertly addressed the challenges presented by the project, including the need for sewer diversion and the the related fulfillment of Sydney Water requirements, which required specialised engineers' assessment reports. The presence of weak upper subgrade materials and the unique footprint of the building required use to design an anchored and internally strut shoring designs to ensure the stability of the site with foundation piles bored down to the bedrock.
HHC Engineers excelled in meeting the structural demands of the Solis project. We meticulously designed and implemented a reliable column frame structure to support the development. Our expertise extended to the design of reinforced basement slabs and the utilization of post-tensioned slabs from the transfer level and above where we reduced the slab thicknesses effectively without compromising performance in order to satisfy building height restrictions. Moreover, we successfully integrated rooftop suspended swimming pools, seamlessly blending functionality and aesthetics. Off form concrete feature walls were skillfully incorporated to enhance the architectural appeal of the development.
Through our comprehensive management of both the site works and structural challenges, HHC Engineers are ensuring the successful realisation of the Solis project, showcasing our expertise in delivering high-quality outcomes that combine functionality, durability, and visual appeal.
