BURWOOD
The Burwood Tower stands as a testament to HHC Engineers' expertise and innovative approach. This outstanding mixed-use tower encompasses 24 storeys, including 4 basements, 75 residential units, and 3 levels of commercial and retail spaces.
The Burwood Tower presented unique site works challenges that HHC Engineers skill-fully addressed. To meet Sydney Water requirements and accommodate the presence of a masonry culvert under the road frontage, a specialist Engineers Assessment report was meticulously prepared. Additionally, an internally braced shoring design was implemented to ensure the stability and integrity of neighbouring basement structures. The boundary-to-boundary construction approach maximised land usage, seamlessly integrating the project with neighbouring properties.
HHC Engineers excelled in meeting the structural demands of the Burwood project. The load-bearing precast facade walls will not only add visual appeal but also serve as integral structural elements. The internal column frame structure provided stability and flexibility, accommodating multiple change-of-use scenarios. With reinforced concrete basement and typical slabs, and post-tensioned transfer slabs our team optimised structural efficiency, durability and strength while minimising material usage.
Our comprehensive approach, combining meticulous site planning and innovative structural design, will ensure a successful development that harmonises functionality, aesthetics, and adaptability.
