HHC Engineers proudly undertook the Lidcombe project, featuring eleven 2-storey +attic townhouses with a shared basement carpark. Throughout the project, our team successfully addressed various design and engineering challenges, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and functional homes.
The project involved the excavation of a shared basement level. Our team implemented safe batters and shoring systems where required, ensuring stability and safety during the excavation process.
A suspended concrete slab was designed and constructed on the ground floor, serving as the main podium for all the townhouses. This podium provided structural support and accommodated different levels within the development. The design optimised space utilisation and provided a solid base for the construction of the townhouses.
The townhouses featured suspended slabs supported on masonry walls. This design approach ensured structural integrity while providing flexibility for various room layouts. Additionally, lightweight framing was incorporated, along with an attic, adding an extra level of functionality and design aesthetic to the homes.
