HHC Engineers successfully tackled the challenges posed by the Tallawong project, a large-scale development comprising 654 units across 12 eight-storey buildings spread over three sites with three levels of basement parking.

Our team's extensive expertise in shoring and retention design came to use as we expertly managed the complexities arising from the presence of an existing dam, the integration of major essential utility services into the site and the construction of internal roads over the almost 3 hectare development

HHC designed a robust column frame structure that met the projects requirements. Our expertise extended to the design and construction of reinforced basement slabs with banded metal deck reinforcement, as well as post-tensioned slabs from the transfer level and above. We strategically placed expansion joints throughout the large podium slabs to accommodate movement and ensure the long-term structural integrity of the development.

Through our adept management of both the site and structural challenges, HHC Engineers are ensuring the successful realisation of the Tallawong project, providing a solid foundation and a structurally sound framework for the impressive development.
